Letter of hope

Finally and hopefully finally I got the appointment letter for the much awaited oppurtunity for which I had kept waiting anxiously for a whooping long time of 6 months keeping my fingers crossed. So the stage has been set in Mahape and a date of 18th jan in this new year where I will enter into the world of professional. Nothing more seems exciting to me than this precious opurtunity. I would definitely strive to make out them most from it and hope to put on a rocking performance.

A feeling so good

It feels really good to have so many gr8 things round the corner. The auspicious season of christmas, the merriness in the hearts of the people, the end of the year. Especially I like the ending of the year and starting of a whole new, fresh one. Its like changing the phase of one’s life. Putting an end to the bad things that happened and starting with new recharged optimistic energy.
Oh ya! another thing to add on all this amount of happines is the arrival of my b’day which falls on the 28th. Although all these days are not much different than the usual days but the excitement makes me more enthusiastic about what lies in store in the coming brand new year. Moreover the long long wait for the arrival of my precious appointment letter of my job at LnT which is going to end soon this week. These feelings cannot be described in words.

Left with a Lesson

Started my gyming routine from yesterday after a tiresome gap of about 2 weeks since 2 weeks ago while doing a new course setup I think I did something wronn while doing push-up’s due to which I got tremendous pain all of a sudden in my left arm. After one set I had taken rest but foolishly again started the second set thinking that the pain was temporary. That was the point of a big mistake. The second set proved lethal and a sudden jolt of pain arised in my left arm and made it immobile. I panicked that this surely might be a fracture but was not ready to believe it since a fracture cannot result unless you have a fall. I skipped the rest of the excercises and went home to rest. Even after 2 days of total rest I was not able to move my left arm so went to the local orthpedician. I was relieved when after some observations he concluded that it was not a fracture but was a ligament tear and I adviced me to take a rest of 3 weeks or else the tear would last a lifetime. I was shocked to hear it but I decided to give my gym a break which was gruelling. I wasnt able to move my arm freely for about a week but later the pain started to diminish and now, 2 weeks later I am normal as before. Thank God!! But now I am more cautious and will always tell myself not to push hard for getting in shape quickly which earlier I used to do. The lesson I learnt from this situation is “Haste may be quick but it always comes at a price.”

Harry must not die

Recently while reading the tabloid I came across the news that J.K.Rowling, better kwown as the “potter author” was getting immense pressure to keep continuing Harry Potter’s adventures so much so that it was taking a toll on her personal life. So she has finally gone public saying that Harry is bound to die in her next n final novel or rather she is gonna kill him on purpose to put an end of the world’s most popular boy hero. This news has bought about a shockwave amongst the kiddos who have turned ardent fans rather worshippers of Potter mania. I, on the other hand have never read a single story of him, nor I am a great fan of the author but have seen all the Potter movies up till now. Yet, I respect the imagination and creative nature of Ms. Rowling and the immense fame she has got with her creation. Hearing the news did somewhat made me wonder that instead of killing Harry, why not write some short stories on his heroism, thereby retaining the popularity and also not disappointing the kiddos. Its not always necessary to always keep writing huge novels about the adventures or better still even other authors can contribute their imagination if Rowling should stop with potter mania. Here’s my message to her…….

Harry must not die

Hey Ms. Rowling, Harry must not die,
I am feeling it strongly but I don’t know why,
He is so popular that he just can’t leave,
Why are u so hard on the kids which is hard to believe,
Have u got fed up, are u now bored to go on?
With your own creation which u been carrying for so long,
I say please don’t drop your pen, its still has power,
When Harry can be put to good use, why make it sour?
Superman, Spiderman did teach lessons to the bad,
Sent messages of happiness relieving the sad,
Taught morals to the young ones, which was great,
Made them into nicer beings making them think straight,
Don’t kill Harry; he can do it too,
Why are u so hell bent on giving him a “boo”,
Make him teach some manners while you can,
Why simply make him run with the prisoner of Azkaban?
Goblets or Quidditch, to the society, don’t do any good,
Where as, cleanliness, honesty, politeness would.
Harry can be an idol; Harry can be a priest,
Why do you have cruel desires? Why are you acting like a beast?
Life doesn’t run on spells, or with people who have scars,
Talk through him to real people to stop making wars.
Maybe this way u will obtain your fancy golden snitch,
Killing him will just make u feel more like a witch.
Hey Ms. Rowling, Harry must not die.
Make him do good deeds, at least give it a try!!

It happens only in India

Yesterday while chatting with my friend Pascal I had a heated debate sort of conversation. I was discussing about the talents about the people here in India and those of the people staying out abroad and why Indian people were lacking the main exposure to the computers domain. This lead to the discussion on how the infrastructure was based in India and why the government was so inconsiderate of improving it or put in other words my concern was why India couldn’t make computer technologies established as seen in other countries. Many interesting points came forward in the conversation. Here is the excerpt of it……

nitin pai : I don’t know how it works…abroad there are such immensely talented guys…in
India when we still are studying ..there they become professional …either master hackers,
Hollywood animators, so many wide arena of field….n we here rely on a degree to make our mark
pascal nunes: nope … its not that way it takes time to get these skills. when did you get your computer?
nitin pai : I have seen sites of those guys who have made contributions to
major animation films ….n when i saw their profile .. age=16,18,20
pascal nunes : its like this you get a PC at about 16 I got mine after 12th
that is nearly 18 then you spend the first year or two playing games cause…
that does fascinate ppl….. after that ppl start thinking of doing
something better……. its not the lack of opportunity another factor is the ppl you
have around its mostly a matter of knowing. once you know something it is
easy……..and most things we do not discover ourselves. then your own talents
come into play and by the time you have reached that stage…where you know what
you want to do… made your community. its usually time to take up a job. abroad
… having these facilities at a more younger age does help a great deal

infrastructure for computer domain…..India lacks that….coz something shd be
present to fascinate into getting into the field n moreover being able to grasp
quickly thru some medium…things change when only an issue is probed
into…otherwise it continues its legacy….laziness rules over here

when it comes to politics…its become a trash. a medium for devils to make
their vicious dreams come true … only the reason y its somewhat minutely
progressing is due to the media who wanders on its happenings. if it was a
hidden medium only God would have know what was going on

pascal nunes : there are many things that are wrong …. the number of hours
wasted due to power cuts is a good example …but yes… they help me ….cause
without the PC .. I have to study then

feel like murdering them ..rascals…bast***%, mother$#$#$, n to think of we got
the most rainfall than we ever had this season…..we are turning into
villages….n to think of india is progressing…my middle finger goes out to

there are so many new buildings …. that provisions have not been made for that

pascal nunes : yup … but when you get projects that you have not thought of
….. you don’t let them go …. you burden your existing employees …. and get
more labor over time ….that is the factor here ….its only 10 years before
that maharashtra was exporting power
nitin pai : cmon..u can never say that….if that was the logic. companies
would have drained with the resources…have u heard about employess sitting in
benches ..or on hold…they are meant for the exact same purpose.. it never
works the way…like..ok we are in trouble now….cmon lets plan ….the same
thing that’s happening in the field of cricket in this very moment ….n then we
have hhumungous expections..ok u got greg..the next thing we shd have is a world
cup ….. planning, analysis are a joke it seems

nitin pai : see…… now we come up with telecom directory when abroad they have
tools like GPRS, Google earth ……we can only use outside stuff

pascal nunes : yup .. the most unexpected …in fact I had got quite used to
government work being frustrating …. if does not drive you nuts… there must
be something fishy .. but you see… this is not the government ..not those
corrupt ministers …..just a few ppl doing their job well ….the NIC in
particular has been doing a lot of good work i think
nitin pai : that’s the saddest part of it…we succumb ..or are made to
….the medium has got so filthy that such few ppl have to dare n risk sometimes
to do good deeds
pascal nunes : the thing is that… it is more a matter of indifference
…..those foolish government officials don’t understand the internet a lot…
and so the one who want to do good work can
nitin pai : its not at all about the internet…the very simple issue is
to remove the quota system completely….then u would see the actual progress
happening….here wrong ppl are being taken at wrong places….then comes
corruption…then comes unemployment due to underground in takings…eveything

it just for those who were neglected. now it seems that’s the only way to
survive n to think of the mostly those who are in backward categories are the
richest
pascal nunes : when the constitution was made… that rules and the quota
system was only for 10 years …. till 1960 that is
cause it started in 1950 ..politicians kept it going ….I used to mad with
Ambedkar for the quota system… after saying that equality is a fundamental
right …..but then I came to know that it was only for 10 years ….but just to
get votes on ST/SC this has been going on
nitin pai : that’s the thing…..Gandhi agreed to the quota system…n there
on it went on n on n on ….Gandhi poked his nose everywhere…i hate that guy
… n if u say he got us independence then that’s bcoz half of the story he has
captured…giving no chance to those who cud have made it possible even years
before 1947….but nonviolence was getting dominant … hey i got to go
now…..was a really good topic to talk on…but it the end…its not just said
n done…even if we scream with our lungs apart it will not make difference to
the deaf people ruling us….but i plan to bring such topics in my blog ..

I have a date!!

Finally I received the most awaited thing in my life. Its my joining date at Larsen n Toubro Infotech. Received it 2 days ago and I am finally am happy that atleast the job is confirmed. It was actually supposed to start on October 5th which was later postponed to 21st November and yet again postponed to 1st week of January. It was a frustrating long wait and still many days are left when I finally join it. They have given the date of 18th Jan. SO 1 month 18 days more to go. But I am all the more ecstatic since I had the fear of losing the job since there was hardly any communication from the LnT people. But the fear still lies somewhat since the I have to wait for the appointment letter which they have said will be given to us in a few days. I am keeping my fingers crossed untill then. Hope they wont disappoint me this time!!

Big Deal !!

So Mr. Big B fell ill. It was as if a catastrophe had occurred which seemed even bigger than the Kashmir earthquake for his fans. People all over the country gathered together for prayers, havan’s which even included the kids in schools n what not. Celebs, young n old flocked at the hospital to meet Mr B as if he was on his death bed (rather for some publicity gimmick).

Its feels so embarrassing to see people acting this way. I don’t understand why there has to be a fan following to such an extent that they make their idols seem more like God’s. Mr. B surely has earned quite a humungous reputation but that’s because he is doing good at a job which he has chosen as his profession. Every working Indian contributes to the society to shape up the country’s progress n growth n whoever gives dedication to his work has the right towards gaining respect. But alas! The Indian media is filled of so much hype n hoopla that it seems that here only actors persevere more than any other person. All over the celluloid there are nothing but celebs.Acting celebs, playing celebs, hosting celebs, and the one being interviewed also celebs. The people who actually impart to India’s role in the world are completely sidelined. It is but natural to the geek people here to just respect n aspire majorly becoming a star who would eventually rise to fame by doing work which imparts almost nothing to the society.

Nobody will ever care for the people who were killed, raped, murdered, kidnapped, died on the very same day Mr. B went a very minor surgery which I myself find hardly worth mentioning but will find solace in worshipping their self-proclaimed godly idols. Living in the presence of the stupidity of such ignorant people and the media capitalizing on this ignorance, sometimes I really feel ashamed my country which breeds these dumbbots. There’s a strong need amongst the people to grow up and I don’t see it happening very soon either which is a sad aspect.
